For those interested in chanting the holiest text of all, we have optional Bhagawad Geeta Chanting class from 11:45am to 12:30pm. Chapter 6 is currently the focus. But a revision of Geeta Dhyanam through Chapter 5 is also being conducted.

Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji said, “Little innocent voices chanting The Geeta is such a beautiful vision.” Geeta Chanting has become a big event in Balavihars all over the world. On Gurudev Jayanti in May every year Bhagawad Geeta chanting competitions are held in several centers.

Why is chanting so important? Several people told Swami Chinmayanandaji that they have gone through the Bhagawad Geeta many times. Swamiji would tell them, “Let the Geeta go through you -- at least one! And you’ll be a transformed man!”

The first step towards letting the Geeta go through us is by learning the words sung by the Lord himself. Understanding the Geeta becomes easier. In the Bhagawad Geeta, Bhagawan Sri Krishna has addressed every practical problem or issue we could face in our lifetimes. Children will always find answers and solace within these pages as they grow up. So come learn to chant the glorious song of the Lord and be transformed.
